Compensation Q: I am a financial advisor, licensed, have my CFP, 6 yrs of experience. I’m on a team w $1B AUM and handle all of the financial planning and estate projections for clients with NW up to $300M (only CFP on the team) & am the primary relationship manager for ~50 clients ($100k-$4m AUM/client). I am wondering what would be considered competitive compensation for my responsibilities? We recently hired another FA and we are being equally compensated but I have much more responsibility..

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
