Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

for people who don’t know - IR is not a layup job.. popular exit for a lot of roles and decent paying.

I get tons of IR offers as a cmaas employee and even back when I was in audit. So did my friend. Why exit fdd into something like this?
Again. Why want to leave FDD

Seems like a waste coming from fdd.

would likely have to risk it by going to FP&A or CD at a larger company first.
Not many have because most of the time it’s a pay cut.
