Has anyone transitioned from Tax to RM? Could you share your experience and pros/cons of the change? Really want to get out of client facing/billable work, but I like my firm. Thank you!

Resource Management is a whole other beast…. Be prepared for long hours, not enough resources & managers fighting over resources…

Someone that works with me did. She has said she is very thankful for the change and glad she was able to stay with the firm. Definitely ask for opinions from those that went from client facing to internal roles. Expectations are very different but so is compensation.

Pro is that you know the operations and how to do the work that you’re supporting. It gives you perspective that many don’t. Cons are that your growth opportunity isn’t as great. You can make director eventually but that’s it

Hi Fishes, I want one information. If a person serving notice period of 90 days, gets released from the project and comes to bench.
Do IBM decrease the notice period to 30 days for such employees?

What is the eligibility or time period needed to move from 6B to 7A in IBM? I have 4.7 years of experience and joined IBM recently in JL 6B.

Thanks in advance.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

WFH Vs WF Office Vs Hybrid, Which one should you take?
If you are fresher, go for a WF Office setup. You will learn things beyond your work. In the initial phase of of your career, one needs to focus more on learning than on comfort. The interactions at office, meeting with collegues, conversations at the cafeteria, sense of responsibilty, the need to walk up on time to reach office etc will shape you for better.

Once you have a work experience of few year then any setup is fine. Go for WFH.

Hello fellow SAP Consultants!
I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

Should I tell them know or just stay silent and give my 2 weeks notice?
