have a dilemma. I’m an A2 and have decided recently that accounting is not for me. I don’t enjoy the job and I have yet to pass a cpa exam, so don’t want to waste more time and $ taking them. I’ve tried to look for jobs but haven’t found anything yet so looks like I’m trapped for another busy season. since goal setting talks are coming up, should I be honest with my pml that I don’t plan on continuing to take exams/want to leave? or will that hurt me more somehow? I don’t know how to lie anymore

I’m a new manager to a newly created team. The team has extremely low morale and in two weeks I’ve had to have 4 difficult conversations about performance. Any ideas to help boost morale quickly?

My wife recently put in her two weeks and half the people she worked with are just ignoring her messages. They asked to work longer but bc of her new company she cant. Shes moving for about 60% more pay from external audit to senior accounting. Shes extremely sad and im confused why these firms are so uptight about this. She is giving them an additional 4 days which she wanted to use on vacation. Did she do something wrong?

Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
