Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Can someone in the EY-Parthenon Singapore office tell me more about the difference between the role of a senior associate doing valuation in the strategy and transactions team and the generic strategy team? Saw 2 job postings with one specific for valuation, modeling and economics, and another for just the generic strategy team. Would really appreciate if I can reach out to someone to have a chat about this. Thanks much!

Take D, after attempting to negotiate. Despite the big topline difference of 145 vs 110, the fact that you're on the hook for insurance and taxes as a contractor means you might better off with the 110 offer. The difference isn't as big as it looks after you crunch the numbers. In addition to comparable take home pay, D would give you more career stability and better exit options due to the better branding.
Tell Deloitte that you prefer them, but have a competing offer for more that you would have trouble leaving on the table because of the difference. The worst they would likely do is tell you they can’t come up, at which point you’d still have the opportunity to say “I decided to go with Deloitte despite the pay difference because bla bla bla”
Like an INSEAD or equiv? Are you targeting strategy and eventual lateral to MBB? Those both seem like low salary numbers for T10 international MBA + Ivy UG. Isn’t average starting salary for T10 MBA exits in the 160k range?
Agree with comments above. With 7 YOE I’d push for SC minimum. Know it may be a kick in the teeth with expectations, but if you’re good in industry it just takes a couple months to learn the consulting ropes.
145K without benefits and 110K with bonus may be closer than you think after you factor in paying for health insurance etc. on your own.
To clarify It’s w2 so not 1099 deff higher insurance but taxes should be about the same
