Obviously you haven’t encountered a client yet who still owes 6 figures to a hospital from an unexpected illness while uninsured. Once you do, you’ll be in line to buy insurance real quick. Not worth the risk - medical bills go through the roof very quickly. And do you really want to live in fear of a major illness or not seek help when you need it?

I’m at $1000 a month for family of 4. $750 deductible. My dad is on dialysis and they bill $121,000 a month. As much as I hate paying the premium, that type of bill would bankrupt just about anyone without insurance.

Uninsured with a little bit of catastrophic coverage for $50/mo, I invest the $10,000/year I save by not having health insurance

like

☝🏻 thinking of doing the same thing. It would be about $600/month plus another crazy high deductible so they can pay 🙄

like

FA1 is that a group policy or exchange? FA2 I can’t do that w 3 kids.

My current 70,000 employee firm, $917/mo for family of 6, $7000 deductible, after that 100% covered. We are moving to husbands plan for the first time this year to save $4000 annually.
After losing my ability to itemized my work expenses, no longer allowed to claim my 4 dependents, and we phased out of any college tuition credits, we have an instant $15,000 in additional taxes. Between the INSANELY stupid cost of college, higher healthcare costs and a tax hike, our middle class cash flow is evaporating

like

$750/mo. High deductible plan at $3500 per person/$7k per family max Then pays 100%

$1178 a month. Single. Female. New York City, baby. And the premium will increase in 2019. Since we are “self employed” we pay through the nose in NYC

Thank you.

Are your policies for your own company or are they from a spouses plan?

Mine. From a Regional brokerage

Yeah I realized that after sorry my strategy won’t be good idea if you got kids. But our group plan for family is like $700/mo

VP1 that’s why the catastrophic coverage is there

So I’m in my second trimester. Everything has come back normal and great. Anatomy scan went beautifully. Now I’m getting cramps really low in my left side that I would say are like a 6-7 on pain scale and they’re like every few minutes. I don’t think they’re Braxton hicks it feels more like period cramps I’ve experienced before. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Can I take something for the pain?

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?
