I have an offer to join a startup as an APM. The only downside is that the engineering team is located offshore in India. I’m concerned about the resulting impact because of 1) the potential late night calls 2) the learning opportunities missed by not working with a US engineering team (communication tactics, translatable skills) 3) potential exit opps into FAANG pm roles due to not having experience with an onshore eng team. I’m a new patent prosecution associate and unfortunately only just now realized that maybe prosecuting patents isn’t something I want to do long term. I loved copyright (and trademark) in law school, but I have loans to pay off. Should I stick it out in my current role to pay them off before I jump ship to a new practice area or will I be pigeonholed forever to patents if I stay here for 2-3 years?

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role

I’m an SE who works 2 AE’s, and from looking at the market am on the bottom end of the pay scale. The company I work for has many different products/services (80+), so they wanted SEs to take on a local “SME” role in a specific area, to support other members of the team.

This role has ramped up quite a bit recently, and people have been coming to me for help with their deals (overviews, demos, POCs) which is increasing my workload.

Got a call from Deloitte HR and she told me that if you're available for an interview right now. I asked I will be available after 8:30 PM or next day before 11 AM she said okay thank you and cut the call. Is this the same company right who wants there employees to serve a stict 90 days notice period. Immediate joiner ka toh suna tha but immediate interview ka scene hai. It looks like companies like Deloitte wants just an employee without knowing there knowledge and skills. What's your views guy
