I attended interview at EY for the Data scientist position. First round was not bad. I didn't even get the response back after that. Will it be negative? Or they kept in hold?? Any EY people here pls respond.

I am having an experience of 9+ years into analytics domain with hands on exposure to data science and machine learning.

I got an offer ( after 6 months of joining here in Infosys) and informed my lead the same.He spoke with my manager and my manager has agreed to retain me but needs his manager approval.
Now I have waited for a week without resigning to see if I can get any written official communication of the same.

But all of a sudden, my manager is asking me why are you this doing now? You have just now joined after speaking with his manager.
Why is this sudden change in his behaviour?
