Desperate attempt to get an EY summer internship referral. I’m an MS student with 2yoe as a Tech Consultant at Deloitte. The deadline for the summer internships is next week and would appreciate any help I can get🤞🏽

I got a verbal offer from ACN two weeks ago, and the recruiter told me I could expect a written offer in a few days. I haven’t receive it by now…followed up with the recruiter today, and she told me hopefully I will get it over the weekend or by Monday. Is this normal? Should I be worried? The recruiter told me they really wanted me and the team has a lot of projects lining up and I really like the team..Accenture

My advice is to expand your search to include other banks and consulting firms. The summer internship programs can be extremely competitive with limited spots and many referrals. Networking is also a great idea if you happen to know anyone at the firms your targeting.
Do you have any experience?
Also every firm is different but some firms don’t start the interview process for summer interns until the fall. It’s possible you might see more activity in Sept/Oct.
I’m interning in my university’s office of the provost this coming semester and have part time experience from high school but nothing that’s really related to consulting or banking.
I did hear that a lot of recruiting may start in September so I will wait until then. Thank you for your perspective!
Most companies give a good amount of time for students to apply for internship application for the coming year. They start reaching out at a particular period. Just keep applying to as many as possible
If I were you I would also apply to smaller companies. They will give you around the same experience as the big companies. I say this just in case you aren’t selected you still have another company looking at you. In addition, working with smaller companies you gain a. More intimate relationship with the workers so they may become mentors or referrals after you leave and graduate
