Hi! I am looking for a WFH job. I’m not having any luck with finding any HR positions.

I recently took a week a off and realized I want more flexibility and don’t want to be tied to the office plus I was recently assigned ALL onboarding’s (virtual and in-person) and I just want a new job because I didn’t sign up for this.

2020 Graduate, began clerking in July. I have never been work from home and I cannot imagine doing this job and learning as much as I have while wfh. Do any other clerks feel this way and if you aren’t a clerk and are a recent grad, do you feel like you are learning necessary skills while wfh?

Please brief me about your experience in working with Cians Analytics (Acuity), Like how it is to be working with this company, work culture, career growth, work from home policy etc.

On the other hand, what’s a reasonable time for me to log off? Say I come to good stopping point and I fall asleep around 9:30pm. But then something happens at 10:30pm and i’m asleep… would partners be pissed?

Right now I work for PSCU and I make $20/hr as a service desk tech. PatientPoint just offered me a job for an L2 position @ $24/hr. PSCU came back and gave me a counter-offer of pulling me in as a direct-hire, $2k sign-on bonus, and $21/hr.

PSCU is 100% remote and PatientPoint is 3 days in-office 2 days remote.

I can't for the life of me decide what to do.

The L2 thing is exciting.

PSCU is a non-profit. Glassdoor seems to favor PSCU.

Worked as a paralegal during law school. Passed bar. Current job is offering a 92k salary in an area of law I do not like, like AT ALL.
Applied to a small firm on a whim. Interviewed, LOVED the vibe, the managing partner & associate BUT its quite low 65k..I really could see myself in a place like that but sadly I have kids to support and with the current economy, cannot take a paycut. Hi all, I’m looking to re-enter the workforce. I had to take a career pause @ the beginning of the pandemic because I had a child. I have 5+ years of experience in life science (bench top, pathology in a hospital, startup, and most recently clinical research). New HR Manager here and I need to create a department budget. No idea where to even start, let alone end. This company is extremely unconventional with it's practices.. think startup that is not brand new.

Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?
