Hi, is there anyone here from K&L Gates? I want to apply to an associate position there and don’t want to go through a recruiter. The practice group I’m applying to are looking for two associates in two different offices. Does it matter if I apply to both? Or it’s better if I only apply to one location? I’d be happy if they would take me to either location

If I do good work, am well liked, and don't lateral or leave myself, what sort of things might cause me to be shown the door? If the reason is partnership, when do I/those around me start truly deciding whether or not I'm partner track?

Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.
Earlier,before the call I had Bank of america in mind ahead of CTS for its work culture ,hike %, job security and other benefits. But here in TCS also I have very good role, job security and comfort.Please suggest!!

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. I had other offers prior to accepting this job that may still be options, and going back to my old job (for a pay cut) might also be an option. I can’t tell if this is just burnout, growing pains, or just an untenable work environment. Would you ride it out for a year at new job or pursue other options? HELP!

Started at firm in second week of March and am at 1,700 right now, on pace for 2,000+. M&A 7th year. Who else is this busy? Keep reading M&A down across the board, but not feeling it here…

Obviously love the job security, but am at lockstep bonus firm and pretty sure at this point bonus will be on base scale last year, so kinda bummed about that.

How can I sell my 2 years of clerkship as valuable experience for corporate work? I would like to get credit for at least one year (at least in salary, if I can’t in seniority). I know for litigation they are more clearly valued and linked to that type of work, but I have reconsidered my interests and now am thinking of going into corp. However, I don’t want to feel like I wasted 2 years clerking (which I don’t feel like that, but I have to convince an employer of that too). Any help or insight?

Am I screwed? I’m on track for about 1300 billables for 2021, target is 2000. While one month I did not reach out for work every other month I have, including the heads of my groups, and have told many people I am slow and can take on work.
