Hmm OP this is a really interesting question because humans have errors too. And if you think about it humans created AI so honestly what is the difference between AI doing the screening versus a human? I would have to assume that a human is going to be the one to read the results.
Sounds plausible, it’s not Chat-GPT. It’s machine learning. So it’s more like pattern recognition. Given enough training data it could be accurate. Even my crappy home camera setup can tell the difference between me and my wife. So if you put hundreds thousands of images into the training data with positive vs negative results, then yes I’d trust it for a prescreening. The curious part is who shared their medical records to train it. We’re being farmed like potato’s for our data.
Ummm, I would not sign up to be one of the first to let AI play doctor. I think I would want to see this type of technology tested a lot and see some fairly impressive studies before I would consider using this technology myself or encouraging any loved ones to use it.
