How bad is it to job hop? How can I prevent burning bridges when I do?

I accepted an offer as a recruiting manager a month ago and I’m supposed to start training on Monday. However I finally received an offer from a start up tech company and the salary is double my offer. Plus the work culture is awesome. I’m an idiot if I say no.

I know I’m supposed to do what’s best for me, but I really like the first company and kinda feel bad for messing them up and leaving them without a manager.

I have placed a counter offer in march with Tech M .They are doing a salary revision with Joining bonus and they said they are waiting for JB approval. They didn’t send the revised offer letter yet. Do they usually take so long for revised offer letter. I have just a day left.
