You’re trying to rank different roles that require different skill sets.
In general, MBB partners are integrative CEO advisers - aspiring to counsel the CEO across the entire business agenda. They have deep and specific expertise and capabilities. But the “point” is to solve the most complex and important business problems, whatever they are, typically across multiple disciplines.
In general, Big 4 partners are deep experts in their fields, spend the vast majority of their time in those fields, and focus on helping senior executives improve what they do in that specific field.
Both build relationships and sell work and develop teams. But they are in general selling different products. (And of course the roles are in parts converging).
MBBD* tired of people getting this wrong
What about Big4A or is it MBBA? 😂
We’ve recently hired a few M partners and they are better than the avg EY PPED. Their communication is more polished, they look the part, and they are delivering. My questions is why the F did they leave McKinsey
Because McKinsey has many like that but they will stand out more at EY.
It’s all connections. Mbb partners are more connected to ceos where b4 are closer to vps and lower c level executives.
It’s the same as mba. I went to an m7 and the work was no more challenging than my best friend but the connections were a lot better
