How do my male counterparts get away with doing so little yet they get so much praise from above?

I've been seeing a lot of ADCOLOR posts on linkedin, and some of the people who are liking and reposting it are some of the same people who were blatantly racist and rude to me when I worked with them. I wish there was something I could say/do about it, but it's literally making my blood boil seeing them like posts about "uplifting" and "supporting" BIPOC, only because I know that once they get off their screens and they're the meanest people

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.

Has anyone experienced a superior (even a partner) bringing up political topics during meetings or one-on-one conversation? How did you (or the team) react and how did you engage or evade the topic?

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). 15 YOE, recently started my first tech PR job at a large, stable company & have been asked to get ~20 SMEs in front of media. Subject matter is not sexy. I lead PR for all of U.S. & have no other PR colleagues. My agency’s budget is 100k/year & they’re spread too thin to hit their KPIs.
