How do you all split your 401k contributions between pre-tax and tax deferred (pre-pay tax) contributions?

Looking at full-time and application asks for expected salary and then expected total compensation as a number. How should I figure out the second? Health insurance, bonuses, life insurance, equity, PTO? I studied art, not math.

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?

my s.o. and i have a total salary of 210k and we’re 28/25 respectively. her parents ordered a tesla y for 70k and paid off 45k so far. we live in chicago and they are in iowa so they figured it’ll be better use for us to have the car. we’ll pay off the current loan and pay them back the amount they paid throughout the next 8 years interest free. is this even a good deal for us or are we able to get too much car for our age?
