Does anyone know if ey will PP the I-140?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

This job makes me hate my life.
It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

Signing bonuses need to be justified.
So are they unable to meet your salary number? Do you have a hot skill set critical to their strategy? Do they need to compensate you for a bonus or unvested stock grant you’re walking away from? Are you relocating for the job?
If those types of situations aren’t in play you can ask, but I wouldn’t be optimistic.
If it’s a reputable company they’ll offer you one as part of their package. From there you can negotiate what you want it to be.
What firm? I heard a couple of the big4 don’t offer.
No specific firm as I haven't started interviewing yet. I'm just asking for general knowledge when I do.
I always started with what I was walking away from.
1st time I wasn’t fully vested in my 401k and I left about six months before bonus. I just mentioned that and it started the conversation. I didn’t get specific (was actually 75% vested and only walking away from about a grand in 401k) But just used it to open the door.
Second time they started with a signing bonus. I mentioned that I was leaving a retaining bonus payable about three months from then and they matched that on top, no questions asked.
Especially if you come in without a recruiter to be paid...just ask. They need an “excuse” but usually it’s not a big deal.
