How does everyone keep up with things around the house like chores? My schedule has been 8am - 2am for the past weeks. My fiancé works normal hours. Is it fair for her to be pissed at me for not being able to help as much as usual? Typically I help out, but sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day?? Maybe I’m wrong. How does everyone else manage?

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. The thing is, I fell in love during the pandemic with a friend that I have known for 3 years. It's frustrating since I know I could continue my job from home. I would honestly quit my job and wouldn't mind the job search again.

Soo... I feel like my current job is sucking life out of me. I end up working around 49-60hrs per week and barely have personal life. So I'm Dominican and I work from home. I do know there are companies in the USA that will offer remote job. Any recommendation on WFH I could do from my own country? Earning ik dollars would be pretty convenient with the way economy is doing.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

How are your clerkships going? Are you happy? Stressed? Depressed? Overwhelmed? Underwhelmed? Would you do it all over again? Would you recommend the experience for others? Do you wish you had clerked in a different court? Spill the tea.

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Why are people always surprised when we're closed for holidays? There are emergencies but being rude because we won't book a 9am cleaning on Thanksgiving is incredible

How is productivity measured for in-house attorneys? Is there any analog of billable hours for in-house lawyers?
