How hard is the path moving from tech Consulting to Product companies like Amazon, Facebook and the likes. Do such companies value the consulting company tag??? Is it easy to get interview calls ?

Tomorrow I will be having interview in Delloite USI for Data Scientist role. Could anyone let me know how it goes. How many rounds are there? And what kind of questions put up in each round?

My AD coworker (not currently my partner) just got hired at a new agency and wants to bring me along as his writer. I'd love to join. He told the recruiter at that agency about me and sent my book. I also have another former coworker (creative) who put in a good word for me.

Should I reach out to the recruiter, too? Or is that overkill after two recos? I don't want to be bothersome. But I do want to show interest..

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? 🐠, need opinions/advice. Persistent recruiter asked me to consider having an exploratory convo with a company for a VP role even though I’m not looking to make a switch. That casual convo has morphed into two interviews this week, one with an SVP and EVP and one with the global head of the practice. It would be a $65k bump in salary. Worth going through with it? Should I mention that I’m not actively looking to leave my current job? Been here 6 months…

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

I’m Kim E. I work in public school grant funded preschool for 4 year olds in Michigan, and I also own a private preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds. This is my 18th year teaching.

I work in a firm that is known for litigation defense. I’ve been developing my own plaintiffs practice as well. I am able to pay the bills with my hourly defense work, which gives me time to focus on a handful of high value PI case a year on contingency. I was recently negotiating a case and was told part of the reason the claims rep/OC was jerking me around was because they didn’t see me as a plaintiffs attorney. Is there any way to change this perception or does it just come over time?

What’s your advise for someone looking to get into soft IP litigation (not an engineering / science major) but have been working in L&E for 3 years now.
