I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Making connections is basically what doing an MBA is for.
It’s definitely not going to be to your advantage.
How kind of you to leave such a helpful comment 🙄 plz fix empathy
There are two “good” reasons to go to a MBA program: get a job through the traditional path (IB/consulting/tech etc) and build a network.
It’s up to you whether or not to take advantage of them.
I think it depends on the reason you’re there. For me, I’m just trying to get enough credits for a cert so idc about making connections too much. But if you’re there to get a better job/more money I guess it’s beneficial to work the program to your advantage. But it’s really about what you want to take away from your program.
Do whatever makes the most sense to you to maximize your experience! It’s a great chance to push out of your comfort zone and meet as many people as possible. Still, unless you’re at an intimate program in which you can build meaningful connections with lots of people, like Tuck or Haas, I’ve seen most people 5+yrs out only have a small group of friends from school they still interact with anyway.
