How is job security at LTI? I heard employee is fired after 90 days on bench directly.
It had also laidoff people in 2017 i guess.

I‘ve joined Globant 3 months back. They have offered me very good CTC & the position is Senior Developer. I’m on bench till date & there are few more too. Being on the high CTC side & Higher position, I’m bit tensed about my career over here. Can someone please help me if it is a normal situation in Globant? Or I should worry & should be active again? Also, is there any layoff happened in Globant in the past couple of years.

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. Hi. I’m an exempt employee (my boss’s only W-2 employee) and have two weeks of PTO. He’s making me use that for my physical therapy and doctors appointments, and I just got diagnosed with something related to my I jury (not work related) that could qualify me for temporary disability. How do I approach this and can I get fired for this? I have to take care of my body! And he’s insanely rigid, cheap, stubborn, and at this point I don’t even think he cares about me. On Monday, after just five months in my role, I was laid off from my job at a tech company in the food delivery space. During the call with my manager and HR rep, I understood that I would be paid through the 15th. If I sign the severance agreement, I’ll receive an additional two weeks of pay. I took notes and asked questions for clarity, but yesterday I received a payment for about half my paycheck (i.e. not through 15th!). Tips for negotiating the severance package? Any chance for more cash?

Fired after two weeks at a startup. Does anyone have any referrals? They lied and misrepresented the role throughout the entire hiring process. Upon me discovering I had an apparently different role, they didn’t like that I asked too many questions and fired me. Does anyone have any referrals. I have over 3 years of AE experience and generated over 300k of overall revenue in my previous role.

Anyone else having trouble staying focused while working from home? I’m in a tiny apartment in NYC and with my husband and I both being here 24/7 I am feeling very trapped and never get any meaningful alone time, which I need. He normally travels a bit for work, so this is really different for us. My focus is shot, I’m terrified of getting laid off and yet am having trouble motivating myself. Any advice? Anxiety through the roof too.

Has anyone completed the 5-week boot camp at Booze Allen before becoming a Senior Consultant? I just got an offer for 100k and I have to start through this boot camp and it seems like a great way to onboard, but I’m worried there may be a catch to it. Also, is 100k low for this kind of role? After that I joined another company as a Full stack developer, but was given a chance only to develop Frontend for web applications (Angular, JavaScript, Bootstrap,html,css)

I’m depressed. Nothing unique about my depression - I’m in big law, my career defines me, when I’m not working I can’t find the will to get off the couch, I’m sad or I’m numb…I know I’m the only one that can make a change to my life…I’m on antidepressants. Just extremely unmotivated and paralyzed. Self-help books are not for me, but I am curious - has anyone tried a guided depression/anxiety journal? Any recommendations if so? Or, if you have experienced the same, what steps did you take?

In this role I often have to communicate with acct managers + I’ve noticed that they often question/screen me before letting me to do my job. I’ve asked around + others that I started with don’t experience this. I wonder if my “black name” is apart of this. I had a google referral from privacy counsel for a privacy counsel role that I met all the qualifications for and I didn’t even get a screener. Feeling a bit confused. I just got an offer from another FAANG company but feeling perplexed by this rejection.

It seems like we’ve had many people join from firms today. In the in-house bowl we had a lot of people speaking about F50 who don’t actually work there and the info/advice was often not accurate. If you’re not at an F50 feel free to ask questions but please refrain from commenting on things you don’t have first hand knowledge of so we can avoid the misinformation issues and make this bowl helpful for all
