Yes. And when we are not travelling, we always keep the travel one in the car so it’s always there when we need it. Daily one is for strolling around the neighborhood and for local public transit
Exact same. Uppababy system for the main one, travel stroller is Ergobaby and lives in the car. Cheaper than the other options and works great, we've carried it on to airplanes and stored in the overhead compartment several times.
What’s the rationale for the travel stroller and is there an age element to it as well? We just have our main stroller so far but debating if we need to buy a second one for travel.
I did the same thing with my first kiddo D1! The $39 umbrella with zero features and my kid had to nap like this in Japan 😂 lessons learned.
I have two right now - we have the Uppababy Ridge for outdoor walks on trails and more compact/everyday stroller which is the Silver Cross Dune that also allowed us to connect the infant car seat in the frame with adapters. Now that my son is getting older we’re looking for a more compact travel stroller. I do think it’s easier to buy multiple strollers based on the specific use vs. trying to find one stroller to do it all, it took the pressure off.
Yes but I moreso swap on age vs. activity. Main/daily bigger stroller is for < 1 year at which point I pretty much switch to use the umbrella exclusively unless it’s just a neighborhood walk. Also > 1 year I am more likely to use a wagon that my other kids can also hop on when tired.
3 kids and have accumulated three strollers at this point. First was a silver cross wave thinking it would be the do it all solution. It’s nice but it’s heavy and doesn’t work well for multiple toddlers - which is a criticism I have of all the similar convertible strollers. Second was a baby zen yoyo for travel - it’s awesome and gets the most day to day use. Folds up very small (fits easily in overhead storage or under a seat - big peace of mind factor not having to worry about an airline losing or damaging your stroller when gate checking) and it’s great around town as well - super easy to open and close and get in and out of a trunk. Latest add to the collection is a double wide Thule jogger. It’s great for outings with our 3 under 5 fam. The older kids can easily get themselves in and out, it’s very easy to use off road, but it is a beast
Yes. I have both. Technically I have three. A jogging stoller and two Nuna Triv Nexts. (My husband wanted the jogging stoller). I was afraid my nuna next stoller would be beaten up with travel. I bought a case from Amazon for travel and it has protected it pretty decently. I probably should have just done the triv next
2. Doona doubles as car seat and will use for travel and also larger stroller for long walks (uppa baby)
I have two (uppababy cruz and bugaboo butterfly) and use my butterfly almost exclusively. Cruz was great for the bassinet days but if I were to do it all over, I’d go with a compact stroller with a bassinet from the start (like Joolz Aer). While I absolutely love how the Cruz glides over almost any terrain, it’s really bulky
I have big stroller for neighborhood walks (used exclusively until 6 months), travel stroller which we keep in car, and now a bicycle stroller for neighborhood walks as our guy is 18 months and wants to more agency during walks
