How to prepare before starting position as junior level customer success consultant in a Marketing effectiveness team? I’d like to start not being completely clueless. Job spec says to be eager with numbers, quantitative analysis and data-based consulting.

Was having a chat with a recruiter who does a lot of work for me so out curiosity I am interested to hear what do consultants look for when they are moving into the industry.
- What are some of the key elements you look for vs deal breakers?
- What types of firms and industry are of interest?

I’m worried that my voice, communication style, and body language comes across as too effeminate for our straight clients and peers. I’m transitioning to sales now and am insecure that my personality and appearance may hinder sales gen? Client industry is very old school. Can LGBT partners//Ds/MDs chime in how they managed the same transition?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? What’s the average time spent in an AE role? I’m eyeing an SAE position and feel like I’m already taking on some of this responsibilities

Currently stuck in risk but interested in Cyber. Have done one related engagement from a regulatory perspective. But a lot of posts here making me think it’s harder to break into than I expected (non-technical background). Hi Fishes, I need your advice!

I joined CG 6 months back and was on training for 3-4 months for Dynamics CRM, completing multiple MS certifications. Post that I was mapped to an account for the project & was under shadow.

After shadow completed it seems like there's no project openings in the account for which I was selected. And now management wants me to go for other certs.
