I am at a bit of a deficit to start the year BC of some travel. Did the math today & I need to account (not bill) 50hrs/week to be bonus eligible. Ideas for a corporate associate during slower weeks?

This may be obvious but can you ask for more work?

Loudly make yourself available to all lit groups for doc review. You may get lucky and staffed on a large doc review and make up your hours there.

I did this once as a senior associate. I got a few funny looks about it, but I got staffed to a huge doc review, and made up the missing hours and then some.

How big of a hole are you in? Remember that you can hit 2000 hours by doing 160 per month (which is essentially 2 full weeks off with 40 hours per week otherwise). While I’ve always been in a slammed group so my perspective may be different, but I’m sure you’ll make up for it with a couple 200+ months. I regularly put up 250s last year and then putting a slow 130 didn’t even register as an “issue”

Say yes to everything billable and rack up a few 300 hour months.

Account vs bill? As in you can count nonbillable work toward your hours? There's your answer right there, I think.

Hi Fishes,
I cleared LTI all rounds and in HR discussion we came on mutual agreement for 16lpa .I have 7 years of experience and they gave me Specialist - Data Engineering(P3) role. And we agreed I will join with after 60 as I had to serve 60 days notice period. I was waiting for offer letter and when I received the offer letter I was shocked to see that CTC mentioned was 14LPA and joining date was only 15days from now ,which is way early.

I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. I’ve been working with Amazon for a year, but there’s a lack of prospective EE positions within the company. The job postings I see are either less or barely above my current salary. I’m not sure if staying longer is beneficial for my future career as an Electrical engineer. I plan on getting my FE license within the next 6 months. Any suggestions will be appreciated

I can see that EPF for employer is also deducted from my salary so this is not correct based on the EPF Act, is there some other thing which is not correct in the given Annexure?

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.
