I am looking for a new position and have learned that one of my clients is hiring. I think I would be a really good fit considering I have worked on the account for years, but not much with the exact client that is hiring. What do you think I should consider when applying for the role? It feels a bit awkward to me to show a client that I am actively job searching.

I have a job interview on Friday for a corporate law firm, that would be a safe choice if I got the job for financial reasons, but not really a role I’m interested in. However, I just submitted two applications for companies I have strong interest in. I’m nervous that if I do get an offer from the safe choice, and then end up getting an interview/offer from one of my dream companies what will I do then?

I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected.
