I came home from being deployed and everyone is treating me differently. How can I have them treat me like a civilian/normal person?

Act normal. You're probably behaving in a different manner and don't even realize it. Talk to some people you trust that will give you critical but insightful feedback and go from there.

Unfortunately civilians just don’t know. I was in the army it was during the Cold War early 80’s and still did get those ice stairs from civilians. I can’t imagine what crap you have to put up with. Lean on your military buddies for the most part. There will be some civilians who will understand and be cool. I still speak with my compadres when I served. Take care hope this helps and thank you for your we service brother!

Sadly, its the same on my end. Civilians is scared what to say or how to word things because of the new politics. They don't want accidently to trigger us. When they hear deployment they think Iraq war etc

It takes time brother. I don't know what you went through but counseling is available. Go to medical and ask to speak to someone. I have nightmares and paranoia. I'm getting help, it's confidential for self referral. You don't have to tell your command, probably. I got meds for the dreams and talk to a counselor about the rest. It helps.

Stay strong.

This executive I support has given me an e-gift card for the 3rd time in the past 5 months. Each gift card is $300.

I had already told him monetary awards were not necessary as the "thank-you" and words of appreciation were enough for me.

Is it normal to receive such large monetary awards? I think 50~100 is acceptable

Hi fishes!

I am seeing too many post about awards like rising star, Kudos, etc. People keep telling there managers recommended them for these awards.
My manager doesn't interact much with us. I consider myself as some one who has worked hard for project and other intiatives. Should I ask my manager to consider me and if yes how should I initiate it.

I’m pro women and equally etc etc but I often rather deal with a dude lead Bc we women are so hard on each other. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

I'm new to marketing and I am not formally educated in it. I have just been learning through experience with the business. I'm supposed to put together a Market report for our sales team to refer to but I have been stuck on what I even include. I have an expensive subscription to a reporting database and I am supposed to translate these technical reports into 20-30 slides. I can't figure out if I am overthinking something simple or lacking some knowledge that people formally learn in school.

So today was my first day on a stimulant (diagnosed as an adult), and everyone says its suppose to feel like *boom* magic, or normal (?) , I guess. Knowing that is figurative, what should I actually be expecting? I feel mostly the same, I think, though I came in and actually did started my work today. But I mean, somedays I do that...I just don't want to psyche myself out if I'm expecting too much. Or pscyhe myself in if I actually might not be experiencing what I should.
