I come from a very religious family. My parents encouraged me to become either a chaplain or a pastor, so I did and I was thinking of applying as a navy chaplain. What are your experiences with chaplains, have they been of any value to you?

My grandfather was an army chaplain in Korea and I know it was a very impactful position for him. He doesn't talk about it a lot, but I know it shaped his faith a lot throughout the rest of his life and gave him a greater sense of duty to his country and God.

Is the decision something that you personally would love to do? As far as I know there is no rank for naval captains but if it's something that you want to do then go for it. It's a noble thing and it's not that far different from those in combat maybe not physically but emotionally, yes.

It's a rewarding job in the military people need faith and something to have hope in so they need a strong spiritual grounding. You have the potential to change lives.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I am not getting interest in testing now. Wanted to switch career as data professional, data engineer to be precise (after doing some basic study). My present knowledge is conversant level, I started a online course. Is it possible for me to switch career now ? My doubt is without real experience can I manage with course ?

Hi! I have 9yoe in startup, hyper growth environments. I have a strong customer Quality Assurance process improvement background. I want to shift into becoming more of an IC vs people manager. With that in mind, what steps would get me there? Should I consider a PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification? Any other ideas? I feel so stuck and need a change. Thank you!

I am attempting to get a promotion for a top retailer in the US. My boss has been begging me for months to take the shift and I have refused simply because it is fully overnight. From what I have heard, you have to have managerial experience in order to be considered for the manager position for that shift but we are going on 3 months without anyone being hired. What can I say in interview that will highlight why I deserve a management position

Hi all. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and it’s been hard to heal with the ups and downs of a very competitive sales position in the current market. Before taking FMLA for 12 weeks I was a top performer. Any advice from those that also live with bipolar disorder, or advice on a potentially a less stressful position to ease out of sales? I have 7 years healthcare sales and 1.5 years as a MLO.

Have an internship next summer in a vertical I don’t want to work in and is completely unrelated to where I want to end up. However the firm is strong in PE.
