I am expecting 45 LPA fixed from MasterCard. I requested to consider for lead role if budget is issue. As my experience is 12 years but hr told 13+ experience required for lead. Is it true ? I want to build my career in analytics. I have offer from EY India, EXL and LatentView Analytics.
EY is more on the side of project management and process improvement in SaaS, as told. While there is hands-on in other two.
If I don't consider pay, which company is the best to go for considering work and culture(peope friendly).

Hello fellow introverts! Instead of talking to people I have an Instagram account to shout my opinions about books into the void. Id love it if any of you would be willing to take a look and give me feedback on the reviews. I feel like they aren't quite at the level I'm aiming for.

By the way, the best way to audition for the projects you want us to reach out to the senior managers and partners doing that work, tell them you’re interested, and get in on proposal work so they can meet you, experience your knowledge and work product, and you’re already making deposits in the relational bank account. It will also give you some deep insights in how those partners think/work, and they’re a lot more likely to staff you on a project you helped sell because they don’t have to onboard you as much. BE PREPARED TO DO THIS IN ADDITION TO CLIENT WORK - so you’ll sacrifice some nights/weekends. You are the entrepreneur of your own career, so go make some sales pitches and build your network in the service area that interests you. The partners can only help you so much - advocate for yourself and get yourself a new role. See if you can help with some research/white papers in the area that interests you too. Be prepared to propose some ideas. You can do this, but taking ownership is a perspective shift. That’s the toughest part
I think in our industry that is a pretty accurate statement (but certainly as it’s occasional exceptions) - I wouldn’t take it as a bad exchange. I think the action plan very much depends on your level though.
Right, she means that you need to seek out opportunities that challenge you and make you grow. The fact that you’ve had this discussion is great, as she may be supportive of your moves once you determine your direction .
Yup, it means that you decide what you work on and not (to a degree) and how much of a workload you take on is up to you. Multiple projects at the same time, firm initiatives, etc. You can rest on your laurels for so long but then there are consequences since many others are juggling multiple things and pushing for promotions all the time.
You need to create your own niche, your brand, so to speak. What are your key skills? You need to be the person that same partner says to others “you want to learn Xyz? You need to talk to Johnny!”
You can look at it optimistically and say it’s a chance for you to build your skills and find more interesting opportunities. You can look at it cynically and say that it’s a way for the firm to abandon its role in helping you find decent work. Both interpretations are correct.
