My husband also works remote and he loves what he does, but I couldn't do it. I am a hands on learner and enjoy moving around which makes sitting down and being on a computer quite overrated. I am solar powered as my best friend calls it and need to exercise and use all my abilities during the day, so remote work would not be up my alley. If you think remote work really is something you are interested in, do you think you will look for a remote job in the next two years, or will you put it off longer? I am always curious about how people decide to transition.
Haha I love that you are "solar powered!" And maybe... it just depends. I also enjoy learning hands on like you and I think I am much healthier because I physically go to work and have to walk around and be active with the kids.
Yes! I loved working remotely. I loved NOT having any kind of commute and being able to balance work and getting stuff done at home. I had more time to eat well, exercise, and was better able to take care of my home and my family during the remote teaching time (Covid). And I loved that the parents needed to be involved and that I did not have to deal with behaviors. It was great for me.
Same. My kids said it was their best year to have me home with them. They were homeschooled so nothing changed for them. I loved not dealing with behaviors. The worst I had to do was mute people. lol I had more time to do things around the house without a commute and I ate more real meals. I'd totally be down to remote teach.
