I had 2 partner interviews with Deloitte who both said they wanted me. then the recruiter said she’d get back to me in a few days with a decision. After I didn’t hear back I reached out to the recruiter and said another few days. Still no word. Should I reach out again? Last time I reached out was 8 days ago.
How many times do you reach out when they have shown a huge interest in you?

I’m shooting for the moon and applying to jobs I am mentally ready for and can qualify for but my resume is very short sweet and to the point because I’ve worked at the same place for 6 year and climbed the ladder & wanting something new. How do I explain that to my future employer?

If I was a second or third choice candidate for a role, and ultimately got an offer, is it fair game to inquire with the recruiter as to why the initial candidates declined? And should this fact weigh into my decision process?

I am 25 F. Working in Aerospace & Military Defence Co as a Technical Buyer. I have 2 years expierence within administrative roles, 1 year in procurement. I got this role after interviewing for one below (purchasing assistant) the salary for that role was 21-24K. I was already on 24K so they offered me the same salary - however, the buyer role came up and they offered me this instead but same salary -24K. I have a pay review in April, I want to ask for 28K, is this too much?

I get the impression that many are biglaw haters. With some, any attempt at being service minded and asking "have you thought about X, we can help" makes them whine about scope and costs.

One GC I worked with even had on their resume (OP wanted resumes of key employees) as one of their skills "maximizing value of internal and external legal advice while minimizing cost"

What do we think about these culture assessments? I don't understand how they get value from You have never wanted to "tell someone off" AGREE or DISAGREE or Would you rather Make Art or Go out to a social setting There has to be some kind of Jedi mind tricks right. I mean who would say I have never in my life wanted to tell someone off. Are they looking for honesty? Any HR people who can tell us what the "grades" look like? Do they need you to be in a range so they can consider hiring?

Went through 3 rounds of interviews for a fin.analyst role at a relatively big consulting company. After the superday, they rejected me by saying im overqualified, won’t be challenged enough. I think it’s total crap. Have an offer for an FA role at a small firm, that’s primary focused on L&H insurance in NYC but not too excited.. (graduating this week, Ugad finance). How do you usually deal with rejections or having to take the job you don’t like?

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I felt dizziness while working and fell down today.
I had to go to the doctor due to the anxiety and stress I was carrying since the last 2 months. It has affected my health.

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?
