If money was not a criteria, what job would you do?
I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart

Keep looking! With your degree in nursing and background in sales this way way too low! Look for sales opportunities in the healthcare divisions of companies like Infor and Oracle. You should be able to get a minimum base of $135 and OTE of $250.
I’m not overstating your value here. With your background you can get much better comp.
Thanks so much for your affirmative words. I know med tech is amazing and I feel like this is where I belong. I however need sponsorship for a work permit so it’s been quite hard to find a different job. So any suggestions are more than welcome
Seems very low. Does the job require any certifications? Do you have any?
I'd say take the role! If it's sales that means commission is an option. 75k is doable to live on. Just work your butt off and you'll learn quick.
That can’t be right. That’s less than an average BDR/SDR role at most tech/cyber/med roles. You should consider counter offering or just going somewhere else unless this company shows a lot of potential growth, longevity, and benefits.
If you need sponsorship than remember the employer is paying for sponsorship
They are right, unless there is a very low cost of living where you are, keep looking, that is not enough. You can do better.
It also depends where are you located as that can have a huge impact on your salary
It's a 20K bonus? Not commission? I'd keep looking.
Well no the 20K is commission.
Thank you. I did decline the offer and will keep looking. Will go back into med tech sales.
I agree with the others that said that this seems low. On the other hand, perhaps it would be a good stepping stone for better opportunities.
