I have taken my wife (37) to the driving range a few times and she has decided she wants to take up the sport. I’m excited at the prospect of an activity we can play together eventually. Any suggestions for a beginner set of clubs (or a build your own alternative) for a tall (5’10”) woman?

I don’t want to break the bank in the event these clubs join the hobby graveyard in the basement but don’t want to be in a rush to upgrade in a month or two if she gets hooked. Thanks!

Woman here, question to men golfers:
I often get teamed up with male golfers as not many ladies play in my area. I feel like they feel awkward (cause they get silent around me, only saying good shot when I make a good shot) and so I start feeling awkward too, and it negatively impacts my game. Is it just in my head?

I’m looking at lessons with a pro. They offer packs of 30 min (6-pack) and 60 min (3-pack) sessions. Is there a benefit to one over the other? Is 30 too short or 60 too long?

I’ve never taken lessons before, just played my whole life. I’m a mid 80s golfer trying to get more consistent and break into the high 70s.

Anyone recommend a good started set of clubs? Going back to the game after 7-8years, so not sure what’s good these days to restart.
