So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Yes. If you really are concerned about losing them, why not have regular check-ins to transparently discuss what is working well/what isn’t/what they need to progress within the agency and work toward providing said needs to retain them.

I got in trouble for taking too many doctor’s appointments. I had actual health issues and most of my appointments were after 6pm. Stopped going to the doctor. Got sicker and missed work more and was let go. Don’t judge people for taking care of themselves

You’re not alone media planner. I have an original print out of the phone directory where I work at. Every time someone leaves I draw a sad face by their name. It has been a year and I am at 20 and still counting. 😢
I ask my employees to schedule their dr visits responsibly to respect the rest of the team. I'm very liberal with time off regarding life, family, home and personal issues. Trust me, I have my own bad days. When it comes to time off, I ask them to check in with everyone on the team, out of respect. Keep an eye on it. But challenge them to be accountable to the rest of the team. We fight in the trenches. And we are only as good as the person standing to our left and our right.
