I initially started with a company of 60 employees and accepted the role entering as an Account Executive. Five months into this role, they went through a re-org and laid off 33% of their staff. As a result, they moved me to a Business Development Director with NO increase in salary for the title change.

Given my experience in Sales & Account Management I just assumed the role, as I was "Voluntold." I have to say I loathe it. Nothing but cold calling and LI profile hunting.
