Short answer is not really. Long answer is (1) in such a competitive process with a hair’s difference between generally well qualified candidates, it’s far more important to be as well prepared as you can be than try to get in early. If the extra 2-3 weeks are going to make your prep meaningfully better and give you an edge, I would take all the time you need (I took an extra 3-4 weeks and know people who did the same) (2) there are fewer offers left to go around of the planned class size towards the end of the recruiting season, of course, but it’s still not worth rushing it. It’s a very well thought out process that accounts for these biases and quotas. The bar is the bar and if you meet the bar you will get an offer whether you interview in first week August or in end Sep
thank you
