I keep interviewing at consulting firms and keep getting rejected. I feel so low and upset. I have ample consulting experience before, doing my MBA right now, but it sucks to keep getting rejected. Shall I give up?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

How long did it take y'all to prep for the GMAT? I would need to start from basics for all of the sections just so I can get my fundamentals down.

How long is too long to take off from GMAT? Spent~8 months on it plus working while living alone and think it’s started to take its toll (panic attacks, etc.). Need to get up ~30 points or so and thinking of getting healthy/deferring application to next year.

What kind of scores do folks target for the AWA section of GMAT? My writing is way below average (like a 2/6 on a good day), so just wondering how much time I should spend on AWA compared to other sections

Advice for studying for CISA? I’ve purchased the CRM, QAE, and Hemang Doshi’s book. So far I’m having trouble reading through the CRM because it’s so detailed that everything seems important and difficult to retain. I’m an incoming new hire so I think I should read the book even though I know people who have passed with only QAE (they were previous b4 interns)

So squirrels decided to eat my engine harness (thanks Honda for your eco friendly wiring).
I got it fixed but the acceleration still feels sluggish even when slamming the acceleration on sport mode. It’s a 2017 Honda Civic turbo and used to have a pretty fun acceleration. Any ideas what could be the culprit or where to look? Things like bad ECU/ messed up turbo/ air leak?

The exception to that, though, was David's insightful comment that leadership knows and expects that many of us are struggling to come back from the pandemic, and it's okay to ask for help and or take a leave. Digital culture, and how we are real and take care of each other, is just AMAZING. That speech alone made me so proud to be here and turned around a lot of my negative thoughts.

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. It’s like they don’t know what to say or I make them feel awkward so they don’t bother…I’m trying to focus on a few that have been supportive but it’s hard…Any words of advice? 😞
