I make almost $100K. My rent is $1,700/month. I’m 26 with no debt but also no savings. Can I buy a $180 beach chair for this summer? Also I’m not insane, just keeping assets low as I’m being sued

Keeping your assets low doesn’t limit the claims that someone can win against you. They can garnish future wages and property (including beach chairs). I really hope you’ve consulted a lawyer.

I’ve had three experienced lawyers all tell me the same thing, also I wasn’t suggested that I should perjure, I was more just saying in my own non lawyer opinion idk how they could go to someone not involved in the case and demand they return something that was gifted to them

Can we take a second to talk about this beach chair. What kinda features does it have? Little cooler? Backpack? Bluetooth speaker? Mini pillow!

Some of you don’t live in HCOLs and it shows 🙄 Based on these numbers OP is making peanuts/a survival wage, that cost of rent is a STEAL, finding opportunity for saving will continue to be an extreme sport, and the beach chair is not affordable.

If you don’t live in NYC, DC, or LA, you don’t know what’s going on lol

like

What’s the resale price on that chair at the end of the summer?

We need to know why you’re being sued now lol

Why are you being sued? I imagine a beach chair really isn’t that bad of a purchase, but having a 2-3 month cushion might be a good idea

The beach chair itself doesn't seem like a huge issue to me, but given you make 6 figures and have no savings it might be representative of a broader issue. You need some savings, especially right now as we're teetering on a potential recession

I just want to know why you are being sued at 26 lol. Hope you win the case bro and yeah buy your chair cause you deserve it at least Lool

I was sued at age 17, so it could definitely happen at any age

26 yo here with no savings! I love spending and wasting all my money. I don't know anything about that beach chair, but if it's expensive then it's definitely worth it!
PS: you can also consider buying that chair for 180$ and sell il for 181$, get ready to start dropshipping brooooo

Team buy the beach chair 🥹

Do what your heart tells you

This is by faaaaaar my fav post/comments that I’ve seen here 🤩🤩🤩 more of this please
