I personally feel that it's absolutely ludicrous the US government is not enforcing or at least asking people to wear masks in healthcare environments like at the pharmacy, doctor's offices, or the hospital. We all wear ours behind the counter but I had a patient come in today WITH covid to pick up her prescription, no mask. I get that she already has it so she isn't worried, but what about the other people around??

People have literally just stopped caring, it's terrifying to see. Masks are a joke to people now

like

Masks are required in health care environments where I am (Rhode Island). Customers to the pharmacy counters in retail stores aren't required, but doctors offices, clinics, hospitals and pharmacies located within them, they are.

like

I don't agree with removing your mask if you are sick. That's just inconsiderate. The woman with Covid that was mentioned in this post should have been mandated to wear one or not go inside.

like

That is also just a matter of common courtesy. If you knew you were sick, why wouldn't you wear a mask???

like

I feel you. I've had my fair share of careless patients, too. If only there was a no mask no entry policy here at the clinic.

I have a Fidelity Brokeragelink account for my 401k. Every other year I switch from pre and post tax contributions. My money is spread over 3 ETFs currently. Does anyone know how this is tracked? Say if $100k is traditional 401k and $100k is Roth 401k, but they’re mixed, how can Fidelity track what funds are Roth/traditional? If I’m up 300% in ARKK, how can I or anyone else at fidelity tell if the cost basis was pre or post tax contributions?

I let the shame spiral get the better of me this week. Realized that I wasn’t going to be able to meet a deadline because I’d mismanaged my time and the project was more complex than I though. Rather than admit the mistake and suggest a new deadline, I just kept saying I’d send it tomorrow/later/so on. And then I stayed up basically three days straight working, which has only made me slower and more inefficient. So I’m still not done and now I’m in the pits of anxiety and exhaustion hell. FML.

Pharmacist

Hi all!

I'm a UK pharmacist hoping to qualify and work in the US. Is it still worth doing or any tips in general? I've read on Reddit there's a surplus of Pharmacists in the US. What are your views on that?

Thanks!

Oof. True or not true? I don't know if I would still make the same choice if I knew how things were going to end up. I tend to be on the "PBM's ruined pharmacy" brigade. If you knew then what you know now, would you still go to pharmacy school?

Hey everyone!
I’ve recently accepted a new position recruiting Pharmacists from all over the globe to come to Canada and work for our business units.
I’m looking to speak to literally anyone and everyone who is willing to chat and share information.
Your pain points, complaints, day to day life, experience with exams, certification etc.
Especially anyone who has immigrated to Canada to become a Pharmacy Tech, Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacist etc.
