D1 - I left for you bby
Same.. in a week 😂😬
Same thing happened to me when I left pwc. Even had partner say they were happy to see me getting the chance to work in an area that will use my skills... after they blocked me from getting on relevant projects for almost 2 years
Ey1, honestly, judging by the pings, phone calls, and texts I recieved idgaf. The culture here is real and people want you to grow.
No they won’t, D and P are exactly alike. I have worked at both. They do have different colors though.. so that might make a difference in your mind!
Good man, I have been with PwC for about 8 years, no doubt it’s a great firm, however when I look back I have lost a hell lot of things, I now feel it’s not worth it. Travel took a huge toll on my health not to mention the lost family time
P2 I went to our direct competitor
Wow, lots of bitterness around here. Glad for you OP. Regardless of what everyone else is saying, what matters is how the firm made you feel. Hope your new team is amazing as well!
Agree with P7, we DO care. Ignore the
Negative comments. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything, your always part of PwC.
@P5 just because there’s great people and great culture doesn’t mean career wise it aligns with OP’s needs/wants/goals.
I left PwC and had the same experience and I will say it was sincere. I went to another company and stayed in touch with many folks and even worked with them as a partner - not a customer. Several times my contacts indicated I was welcome back anytime and I would have lunches or drinks with former colleagues with no agenda. Ignore the negative comments. I find that folks at PwC understand sometimes there are limitations with what they can offer but hope things work out. I’m sure they are also aware that turnover in consulting can be significant as people do burn out.
What happened to the graciousness of the firm towards existing employees vs those leaving to become potential clients
Sorry to hear you’re leaving, but wish you the best. I hope you remain an active and proud alumni.
After 8 years of hard work and dedication to PwC I am faced with needing to leave. Past 3 years asked for help from leadership and HR with a difficult coworker and never got it. Now I have no role and am looking for a new position. Very sad as I love the firm but it needs to improve cries for help
Quick add on to Principal1, even though I had issues with the group and Partner I use to work with at PwC, I still have great connections there and close friends that care. I even know Partners in other groups that have offered dialogues if I want to return to work in groups that can leverage my skills
