Yes actually this year. They didn't announce anything out Loud but we all recieved 1% this year instead of the standard 4 %
The main reason behind that was profits this year and just being so far from budget.
Wow, that sounds rough. Do you normally get an annual raises or is this typical that they share you with praise and give you nothing for it? I would approach the topic of getting a raise if you haven’t had one in a while and say look clearly I’m valuable and I haven’t had a raise in so long. Maybe it’s time I get one.
A COLA is not sustainable for everyone. People need to earn their worth and be incentivized and rewarded for thier hard work. Intrinsic and extrinsic rewards both go a long ways. The organization could try offering more PTO if a raise is not affordable for the business.
