I recently had an unforeseeable emergency that depleted my savings. I took a massive pay cut from big law to in-house and I am waiting for my lease to end to reduce some of my expenses to match my current salary. What is a good way to make extra money to rebuild my savings until I am able to move if my current role only covers my expenses?

I will not receive a bonus in this role and I cannot ask for a raise.

The reality is that life will continue to throw potentially expensive emergencies at you, so as A1 said, I would prioritize finding a role that allows you to actively save, in addition to managing your expenses. In the short term, consider driving for uber if you really need cash.

The reality of being a lawyer (even in-house) is that there aren’t really many good “extra income” roles relevant to your actual career. Do you have a bonus coming?

like

I don’t need it to be relevant to my career, just an easy way to make some extra money with a flexible schedule.

You can take on some contract work if that’s permitted

Do you think women in the industry are paid lesser as compared to men.
Out of personal experience ,I can see that during compensation discussion HR person tries to convince a women candidate for a lesser package . Now this could also be the case where it is much easier to convince women to take up the job for lesser salary.
Whereas the male team member gets paid high (same YOE , same number of switch , similar prev CTC) though women are equally or more talented sometimes.
