Again if you have any experience/advice on this, I’m ready to listen.

McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

I’d have dipped after three attorneys. I’m done, no need to talk to the entire staff.
You can meet the entire team upon being hired.
This is not strange at all. Just because you won’t be working “under” someone immediately doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get to talk to you. You should WANT to talk to as many people on the team as possible. That’s how you learn the culture, expectations, and start to get a sense of what the group is really like. I was interviewed this way and my group still does it this way - usually 3 attorneys at a time in rotating 30-min blocks for a day. Only a few people’s opinions really matter from the perspective of making an offer, but if you’re going to be part of a team, you should probably… meet the team. I’m anti-recruiter, but this is a short-sighted view and it’s very unprofessional to tell interviewers they need to hurry up because you didn’t put enough time on your meter. I’d be embarrassed if I represented you.
To clarify this was 12 attorneys over 3 hours. The meters in my area have a 4 hour limit, which is well known. Speaking with 3 attorneys is no problem and I agree that a 30 minute interview is standard. My experience was not. I did not tell them they needed to hurry up. I respectfully asked after nearly 4 hours of being there in the middle of a work day, if they would have many more questions because I had not anticipated such a lengthy interview and would need to add time on my meter if so.
I am ok meeting a few team members but seems too extreme and intense to meet 12 people and they taking turns to interview…
Sounds completely insane. Even with all that vetting there are still no guarantees that the right/best candidate was hired, sounds like they have some trauma from a bad hire. I interviewed with AMZ years ago for a global legal role and after I made it past the first 2 rounds they sent me materials to prepare for the 3rd round, after reviewing the prep guide, I declined the opportunity at that point. There’s no way I was going to do that.
I would not change how I handled it but I feel like I wasted my time and am nervous about working with recruiters going forward
Not unusual at all to meet a bunch of different folks on the team. Do you expect to only be interviewed by one person, or only the people you’d be getting work from directly?
Since I posted this I found a position on my own and have had 2 interviews with 6 people on the time. Each lasted no more than 30 minutes. The first people I met with were wonderful, and the ones I would primarily be working with. The second were not as great and had some repeat questions but did not leave a bad taste in my mouth like the one I initially wrote about. I got an offer and plan to accept. Interview experience matters
Sounds like an Interrogation.
It felt like an endurance test.
(1) I think your reaction to being interviewed in this way is odd, though perhaps a function of the fact that you don’t want this particular job. Any interview format would be a waste of time in that scenario.
(2) Youre better off without this particular recruiter, who sounds like a short sighted head case.
Why do you find my reaction odd? I did want the job. I wouldn’t have taken the interview otherwise. I view an interview as an opportunity for both the employer and applicant to put their best foot forward. If they are inconsiderate of my time when they are not even paying me, how will it be if I work there and they feel they own my time?
You have alot of options in meeting with high end recruiters, don't let this unprofessional person's comment deter you.
Sounds brutal.
