Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Paypal Hello, I've been offered Data engineer /Software Engineer at PayPal, india.
How's the company doing, is it profitable? Bit skeptical about the recent layoffs at PayPal.
Any data engineers at PayPal around? Whats your thoughts, how's the team doing and how would be the growth?
YOE - 5 TC offered : 19 Base +10k RSU (3 years)
TC seems to be a lowball, but that's their budget, no scope of negotiation.
Is it worth joining paypal

Anyone hiring remote EPs?
Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Any other thoughts? https://www.theroot.com/why-is-quiet-quitting-a-thing-for-white-people-but-n-1849407594/amp

DM me for a referral!

A picture speaks a thousand words

I got a call from the Google recruiter about my L7 em interview Google She said I did overwhelmingly good on all interviews except one had mixed feedback on a system design. No surprise because it was not a good interview. The recruiter said i had a choice to go to hiring committee, give referrals they could call about my system design or take another system design interview. I’m not confident about the system design because of the bad experience I had with the previous interviewer. What should I do?

And that is exactly why I don't stay in 1 place past 3 years unless I am continuously upgrading my skills. And I get job postings regardless of if I am looking, just to see what is marketable, then try to learn it. Companies only care what have you done in the past year - sad but true.
Feelin that, it's true.
You may need to adjust the parameters of what you're trying to land for income. It's still a bad market (as you know), many people have had to take short term contracts, temporary work, part time roles, and lateral or lower titles just to get in the door at a company. It also helps to get a staffing company involved if you haven't tried that yet.
I think the headhunter gets paid by the company if you get hired. So there’s that, if the company is too cheap to pay the recruiter you’re SOL there as well.
250 resumés in a year and a half is not enough...I think I sent about 400 in 6 weeks, and was employed.
400 applications in 6 weeks? How many interviews did that land you (or even a call back)? Did you write a cover letter for any of these applications? If so, as a fellow SaaS health-technology account manager, willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that an account manager in another industry may have the advantage of not being essentially required as a bare minimum at this point to send a somewhat (more than somewhat especially in this market) relevant CV and resume with each application.
The math says that for 6 weeks in order for you to have applied to 400 roles, that is an average of 9.52 jobs applied to every single day for 6 weeks straight, including Saturdays and Sundays. This brings me to my next question, certainly you weren’t qualified for all of those roles, correct? As you wouldn’t have had much time to research each company and customize your resume and CV 10x a day. Is this why we have 10000 applicants for every role? Stop doing this
Come up with a startup company and add it as a business, consulting or whatever. At this point you may not get interviews because of your long lapse from work

Agree, or offer consulting.
Honestly, working at just 1 company can be limiting if that's the only way you know how to do things. It does show loyalty and experience in the field though!
Have you considered looking outside of the US for remote jobs in your field? Would you consider living outside of the US for a while?
I appreciate where you are as I was laid off in October 2025. I started a consulting firm, leveraging my 20+ years in Contracts Management, and haven't looked back. Not one of my clients is in the US.
Give some serious thought if your field is susceptible to AI doing the job. If so, start thinking about a career change. Or at least spend time learning on how YOU can become skilled at leveraging AI for the job. Then make sure you update your resume to reflect that.
Yea, thanks for the advice. I worked in storage/ big data so I understand how much AI can affect our roles. I'm currently doing my MBA so definitely trying to better myself and reflect that on my resume. It's just hard for companies to see that.
Quit the job hunt let's build a company. Break the jinx, you can't offer your broken back for long now AI is taking all the jobs.
I made the mistake of staying with my former employer for 19 years and they were like “deuces”, gave me an $11k severance and this all happened over the phone while I was home sick with bronchitis. I used to feel a certain way when I would see advice about not staying with any one company longer than 5 years. Now I understand. Hang in there! You ain’t alone.
What’s the plan if you can’t find applicable work?
Mid 30s o no are you going to pivot I suppose you’ll have no choice as will I
You said sales? The market changed and the demand is not there. 11 years is great in the 70's but it does not give you the reach and experience with other organizations and their needs to help level you up....AI and Cyber is next on rotation once the buzz fades...being on that wagon while trying to pivot yet again.
Not exactly sales, but more marketing ops and sales operations. I agree though that companies don't see loyalty the same. But it's not like i stayed in the same position for 11 years, I moved laterally throughout my time there.
