Those little things that we think we can live without, but when we don't have them we crave them, I hope you are lucky and reunited with your family soon.

During family gatherings 3 years ago I was always there but I wasn't, that is, I was absent, but since I started in the military every Christmas and eating my grandmother's food is a blessing.

Those moments are worth gold, every time I come back I just want to sleep with my children and eat my wife's food, I don't even want to go through the door, I want time to freeze inside my home.

They say that the army hardens you but the truth is that it allows us to learn what things really matter, and in part that makes us become more understanding and more attentive to our family, it is not something that happens to all of us but it does It is common.

I hope this Christmas you can enjoy your mother's food, brother, enjoy it as much as you can.

I wish you all a beautiful Christmas, and reap moments of happiness, they are the best weapon to fight anxiety on the battlefield.

I feel that completely. There is nothing like the familiarity and love of going home. Merry Christmas!

I love my SO but get unsure....they just went on a friends trip and came back and randomly said going on another one in two weeks. I said I wanted to spend time together so they came back next morning and said let's go away just us instead, which is awesome and I am happy BUT is it a red flag? They used to always be all about spending time together and now seems like I have to remind them to put us first in the past month. We both work hard and have kids so life is more complicated. Vent over.

Finally had a breakdown over infertility this AM and trying to pull myself together for Zoom. My tests are fine, but husband can’t deliver during my fertile window. I feel so hopeless with every month that goes by, and he doesn’t have any sense of urgency when HE is the one who wants kids more than I do. Just needed to vent.

My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F

During interview I was speaking to the hiring manager. Felt interview was going well. He seemed impressed by my answers, excited by my skills, and even gave me a tour of the office. At the end, he asked about my home life. When I spoke of my 3 young kiddos, the manager got a little taken back and replied Oh you have children? I said yes ages 3, 5, and 7. He then proceeded to ask me about daycare arrangements and if I can be reliable. Red flag as his demeanor changed and made me feel unworthy.
