If your manager is saying you’re doing well, what’s the problem?
What you’re experiencing though, is called imposter syndrome, and it might not go away without some work on your part.
Practically, don’t try and learn everything as you’ll need 15-20 years to get to that level. Talk to your manager and say that you want to start learning more in one area for your personal development, and maybe try to think about some areas that you’re interested in or give good future options. If the docs are bad, then maybe investing in CI and documenting through tests is a good place to start, or learning about DevOps principles. You could learn about language features and designs. Or you could try and learn about how LLMs can be used in your field
Thanks ... For the last paragraph of your comment, I've started the conversation with my manager about it. Your comment about "imposter syndrome" caught my eyes. Thanks again
