Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

I suggest you let your current work speak for itself. You can use the opportunity to update your resume too. That way if there is an issue you re ready to look for a new role.
Very true.
I'm definitely not giving them a resume, LOL. Over coffee I'll give them my background and a brief self assessment of the areas where they can expect me to kill it, areas where I can support them, and areas where I'll need their support.
Usually, they'll do a proper LinkedIn stalk of you anyway, and if they don't they just might not give much of a damn (read into that how you'd like to).
Oh, for sure... I want to know what I'm dealing with. Need to know their flaws, too, so I need to know where I need to backstop them. 🤣
Never really occurred to me to share my resume, does make quick work though of what your experience and background is. I usually just let whatever I’m doing speak for itself and if let any conversations just happen naturally if anything else needs to be brought up.
I make them learn about me. Their job to figure it out.
I actually did, it was not the right move since I don't have as much education as my coworkers. I have more experience than most and it shows by my work ethics.
I haven’t gone as formal as leaving my current resume, but since we work remotely I went out of my way to introduce myself and volunteered to train them in certain things like programs we use that they weren’t familiar with. Creating a good relationship with a new manager coming in is always helpful.
I found that doing so make them want to make me do all the things i tried to show them and made me the "go to" instead of showing my leadership skills, which is what im working hard for.
I guess I have never thought about it OP because anytime I have gotten a new manager they schedule a meeting with me to get to know me a little. I do think it would be helpful to send them your resume though with how busy managers are this time of year.
