Hi guys ,
I am in a US project in Accenture. We have long calls in the night timings. My other teammate has backed out saying she won't attend any calls as she got some medical condition so she won't attend long calls which extend till 9:30.Other teammate is a junior. The managers are expecting me to join all the calls. No help I am getting. And they all being Tamil, I think some partiality is going on between them.Even our onsite lead is of no use.She expects me to attend long calls.
What should I do .pls suggest?

Wtf, no. Be a human being.
How very Deloitte
I can’t believe this is an actual question.
@EY1 Yes my brother this is an actual question. I was laid off or fired. No reason given. My last year feedback wasn’t great. This year feedback was solid 1 and was discarded. But my coach completely ignored me. He turned around and puts his headphones on. I was confused if I should go and say hi but then I’m like whatever
I started my own with my friend who is also a consultant and sold 3 months of work.
No. Not unless he did something personally too me.
No, wouldn’t ignore him (assuming he didn’t get fired for something outrageous)
On a similar note, my counselor totally ignored me when I came back from PTO. I mean complete radio silence. Didn't reply to emails, didn't accept invites, didn't show up for meetings. Flabbergasted. Switched after a few weeks.
Don’t take it personally. Some people never learned how to be straightforward and request what they need. That said, I would share this with his new counselor as a point for development.
Dick move, I wouldn't do that. There's also a lesson in there for you though. Don't let things like this get to you. Yea it could have been a slight, but there's also a chance that they genuinely didn't recognize you (maybe had work on their mind and also you were only their counselee for a month). You get to pick how you're going to frame it and if you tell yourself negative things it'll have a negative impact on you (emotionally). Sorry this happened to you, but don't let it get you down.
I guess it would depend on what they were fired for...
I was let go from my job. I know my counselor tried his best defending me, but the partner had his say ultimately and my performance feedback was modified to let go of me.
I’m still in touch with my counselor and I don’t have any grudges against the partner.
Was the partner an a**h*** - yes
I’m going to waste my energy on that - no
Only if he/she are under criminal litigation. Everyone else deserves a hello at the very least.
I mean if you were in middle school, maybe.
