Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?

Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

You don't get free night on year 1 since the fee is waived. You get a free night certificate right after the annual fee is charged in year 2. Look at night certificates and it'll track them as well as any nights awarded due to promos.
IHG cc is the unicorn card . You get automatic platinum status. I stayed a week in a $400 suite at a ICH for about $180 a night with the free upgrade from a shitty room.
For the Marriott card you have to call a special number to use the one free night. My apologies if IHG has a different process but I figured it might be the same.
Marriott gives you a free night the first year when the fee is waived
