I’m a partner at a small firm (40 people, not a boutique, landlocked state). I am considering planning and taking a 3-5 week sabbatical next year. My firm has never had someone gone for more than 10 days. I do not get paid a salary and this will be unpaid. Any success stories, horror stories, or tips for what to do or not do? I am thinking I’ll spend the next 6-8 months getting a couple associates more involved on files, notify my partners 3 months ahead and clients 2 months ahead.

Can I use the floating holiday after 9/30 or is it gone?

Hey BA friends! I work at a small agency and we’re doing a shoot end of the month. Normally all of our production insurance is covered by liners but for some reason this shoot clients are asking to see our production insurance policy, which we don’t have. Is this something every agency should have? I’ve either had client or production cover so not 100% sure on this! US based company. Shoot is oversees.

Why are so many moving from CSR to CSP. I get that the fee is significantly higher for the former, but how are benefits better for the latter?

I work in a sucky IBM cic, making $54k. It’s a full time job with regular benefits and vacation etc, it’s working with government clients. The job isn’t what I applied for & constantly changes. I don’t like that, but I’m a full time employee which is “stable employment”. Btw, I’m in the DC area.

I just got hired for a government contract through Accenture for a Business Analyst role. Pay is $65 per hour. 3 year contract. Benefits too. No PTO. Holidays off with pay, after 90 days.

Junior associate here, should I ask for more money if my firm is about 10-15 percent less hours but about 30 percent less pay? The gap will never be closed to the top pay scale at my firm but when I decided to come to this firm the pay difference was about 15 percent and not 30. I have an asset purchase of a retail store transaction. Seller is keeping the second location. Seller is licensing the name from the buyer. The licensing agreement is supposed to contain provisions so that the seller cannot offer promotions or discounts that the buyer does not also offer (i.e., seller cannot undercut buyer's pricing). I know very little about antitrust. Can anyone give me some suggestions how to enforceably draft this agreement, or is this arrangement impossible?
