I'm currently in a role with a company I've been with 8 years. I'm very comfortable at this point and have great work-life balance with decent pay. Another company has made me an offer for approximately $25k per more for the same IC role. In meeting with the account managers at the new company, the work-life balance is definitely not as good. It also seems there is a bit more oversight and micanagement. Do all think the extra money is worth this trade-off?

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. This was a somewhat good move for me until I consider missing out on commission each month that was more than my salary. (£25k salary, over £2k per month commission)
How do I go about raising this concern? I believe I should be paid more now and at least change my job title?

Tips for 6-month eval? Originally hired at 35K as assistant and was told if I performed well, I could expect to make 50K after a year. After one week, the operations manager resigned and I took over as a trial. Officially am operations manager, but no title (only verbal) and no raise. Owner likes benefits over big pay raises. I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. Can anyone who has taken a career sabbatical to travel/explore other interests share their experience with both leaving their jobs and returning to the legal field?

Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips?
